Ever notice how we can sometimes let things, situations, and people create a wedge between living and living in full abundance? This morning, I became aware of the things that have been hindering my ability to do that which I have been called to do and go where I have been called to go.  I let things like vanity, finances, and self loathing create wedges between happiness, hope, and believing that God has my back, side, and front no matter what.

Does any of the following phrases sound familiar:

  • I don't have the resources to do that?
  • I'm sad, mad, or frustrated because I don't have enough money.
  • I can't go out today because I look hideous.
  • Everything seems to be going wrong in my life, so my prayers must not be being heard.
  • He/She doesn't like me, so no one must like me.
These are just some of the thoughts that try to block my ability to walk in faith and not by sight, and believe that I have been given the power within me to not just live, but live in complete and utter abundance. Today, one of my prayers is to create an environment within myself and my surroundings that supports living in full abundance and dismissing anything and anyone that has the potential of creating a wedge between my ability to do so.

I encourage you to do the same. Dismiss any wedges in your life that is keeping you from establishing a true relationship with God and living life abundantly.

Apology
To my friends and family that I have shut out this past week due to wedge causing elements in my life, I apologize and thank you for your understanding and unwavering support to be there for me even when it doesn't seem as though I can't be there for myself. I am a work in progress, striving to be all that my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ would have me to be. I am sure that I will fall down many times, but I will always get up and forge foward.

I'm sure your friends and family understand. I understand because I sometimes do the same thing. It's just part of our life.

gosh, yes ALL of those statements sound so familiar. i read something the other day that said no matter how good or true the 'excuse' is its still an excuse. we tend to focus on the reasons why we can't instead of the reasons why we can.
